Mark R. Brown

Mark R. Brown is a healthcare renaissance man with more than 35 years experience and expertise in revenue cycle, new business development, business office operations, systems development, critical technologies, compliance & security. Mark has built and sold healthcare sector businesses, created markets in healthcare that were previously non-existent, solved complex problems with sustainable technology solutions, and is considered a top-notch leader and fixer.
Mark is a medical billing and management expert that has used his operations skills to build and develop numerous and profitable surgical centers and has re-designed the financial and business operations of numerous medical groups and entities. Mark focused his skills on Workers' Comp and Qualified Medical Evaluations and related services in order to co-found MEMSCO and grow/build a world class service and operating model operating on a unique and propreitary technology platform.
Mark has held CFO and CEO roles, holds a BA in Education from Long Beach State University, and is a former Executive and Senior Manager from Ernst & Young's Healthcare Consulting Group.

Ken Gootnick

Ken Gootnick, a serial entrepreneur and coach, started his first business at the age of 19, built it from an idea to successfully selling it. Since that time he founded five companies in many different industries, some of which he continues to operate.
In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, he has utilized his vast experience in CEO roles and has served as a senior management consultant for a large sales organization the last 12 years.
Ken creates and develops strategy for key leadership and excels in new business relationships. With other 30 years of experience, he understands all facets of an enterprise from sales, marketing, operations, business development and finance.
Ken’s key to his success stands on his strong principle of unsurpassed service to his clients. Concierge level service and quality are values at his core.
For more than 15 years, Ken has held leadership positions with the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization (YEO).
Ken holds a B.A. in international relations from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Benjamin S. Simon, MD, FACC, QME

Dr. Simon is an interventional cardiologist in practice since 1987. He practices at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center where he is also the Director of Cardiovascular Services after previously serving as Chief of Cardiology, as well as in multiple other leadership positions. He is a partner in Cardiology Consultants Medical Group of the Valley, one of the largest and longest established cardiovascular practices providing cardiac care in the San Fernando Valley. He has been designated yearly as Los Angeles Magazine's Top Doctors consistently since 2008.
Dr. Simon has been a QME since 2015. He continues to be an active QME while remaining busy in practice and in his administrative capacity at the hospital. His goal at MEMSCO is to provide the busy doctor all the resources necessary to perform their evaluations and write the highest quality reports. He has worked with Mark and Ken to ensure that the focus is on serving the doctor in providing these support services.
He also enjoys teaching, having previously served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA, and will be happy to assist any colleague in their medical legal evaluations.
He did his undergraduate and medical education at The Ohio State University and completed his residency and fellowship at UCLA San Fernando Valley Integrated Program. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases.
